To Sleep, Perchance to…Awaken
By
December’s focus for Psychiatric Annals is sleep disorders, what is known of their physiology, guest edited by R. Jeffrey Goldsmith, MD, DFAPA. This series of articles provides an excellent review of sleep disorders and their relationship to psychiatric and substance-abuse disorders. When you consider that we spend roughly one-third of our lives either sleeping or trying to sleep, sleep is an important part of our lives. It is also one of the most-frequent areas of difficulty for our patients, making this issue an important one to review.
